Exterior Trim
#1
Hi
Some of the trim is falling of my door and instead of getting some double sided tape to fix it would it possible to pull it off and clean it up? Is there actually paint under there? I would check but my car is parked at my freinds house across town right now so I cant check and the thought just came to my when i saw a FC with removes trim (back of front fenders, door and front of rear quater panel)

make sure you clean ALL the old tape off otherwise the
molding will go back on shitty and may not stick at all
be sure to use good body side molding tape and not
some ghetto stuff from wal mart

oh and if your trim is sagging, forget it...mine was a little bit but had to be replaced, the rubber was dried out and had gravity re-conform it...and the door pieces are about 150 each from victoria british...
My replacements are junkyard specials though...
One more thing-can s5 trim be put onto a s4, or should i just paint it to match the body?

The trim on the very front and rear of the car, where the lights are... they're held on with clips... which leaves holes when removed; and the best way to remove all the adhesive is with a rubber eraser wheel, and some wax and grease remover.

his door trim is sagging, no clips there
if it has taken on its new shape lay it flat and use a heat gun to
give it new shape, be creative using 2 pieces of wood to hold it straight
I have done this on several different car's moldings
