hey guys what is the typical Exhaust Gas Temp for a series 5 TII, I plan to buy a Exhaust Gas Temp gauge and it reads up to 1600F I know rotarys burn HOT but how HOT? Thanx!

EGT is only one part of the equation. A/F is the other. a wideband A/F is better to have.... although costs more than twice as much. its still cheaper than new engines https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

you can tune EGT perfect but be lean. you know exactly where you are with the A/F lean or rich https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

You have a narrow band A/F, which aren't quite as accurate. If you add an exhaust temp guage on top of that, I think you'll be safe. You want your exhaust temps to be 1200-1400 degrees.

as long as you have a decent A/F you should be ok
