does the paint come in black? ... i would just paint a thin layer of black on it then to make it look nice, then lay the carpet over

The 914-6 guy was ME!
We had a decent 914-6 that was the PCA beater, had some minor rust on the scraped areas of the floor pan. We stripped off all the existing undercoating and prepped it. Less than one month after painting with POR-15, the paint was coming off in sheets. After talking with the Tech-line at POR-15 we were told we had over-prepped the surface!!!. All we did was scotch-brite to clean shiney metal with a lacquar-thinner wipe-down. |

Which is why I use Zero-Rust. Cheaper, easier to clean up and thin, has better sticking charecteristics
