Well when you hit the NOS, you floor panel blew off, all the extra heat from the turbo melted it...













Banzai is probably right... You probably have cats too right?

it gets soft pretty easy, just sitting in the sun can make it gooey if you take out the carpet and park it outside.



some of my tar was softer than others, not sure why the inconsistency, espeically when the car had been parked in a garage for almost a year.

leave the tar, it will prevent rust from forming.



Unless u remove it and put POR-15. have fun...

you should see under my seats, tar doesnt help for ****.



you should take the tar off and definitely por15, it will be better than just the tar.

The tar prevents air and moisture getting to the metal, therefore preventing rust.



POR15 is a rust resistant paint.



Best way to get tar off is with a heat gun and scraper. Else methylated spirits also works.

If your up to scraping and then painting....



I mean, its there for a reason.



I know of a few people who have scraped all the tar off their floors and painted them.
