I swear to got I wanna shoot the **********er that designed that setup, the two phillips screws holding the rotor on is a god damn joke.... so after a days worth of fun, i need those two screws and a new hub. Why the hell aren't they just held on with the lug nuts like every other rotor known too man.
Unless I just cut one fo the screws out of the system I am fucked because the one is snapped off and I cant even drill it out (ez snapped too). Soo anyone got a 5 lug front hub? |
same thing happened to me............wound up replacing everything. hubs bearings rotors pads.......lol

The thing that annoys me the most is it makes no sense why they are there in the first place, I can't think of any car where the rotor isn't just held on by the lug nuts....

They are of soft material, but a manual impact phillips (one you strike with a hammer) works well. If you can't get them out, just drill the heads off and remove the rotors. You may be able to get them out with vise grips. As they are not needed leave them out if they are destroyed. |
in cars with "loose" rotors its very common to come dirt between the rotor and hub, thus resulting in vibrations...

A dead-blow imact driver with a #4 philips head will pop those screws right out, although i'm don't know why the rotors would need to come off to do a brake job.
