Someone give me the scoop on gittin the codes out of my 88 convert.........The thing runs great for about 20 min...then acts like it has a clooged fuel filter...I changed it, but it still does the same thing...I'm dyin to get it straitened out...my first rotary an I dig the hell outa it...Thanks boys....Jeffro

you can either build a test light, or simply buy a ECU code puller, and plug it into a check plug (not sure where it is). Get the light if you're cheap, and get the puller if you don't mind spending ~$50. Then you need a reference guide to tell you what the numbers match up to.

the 84-88 ecus are kinda primative, they will only set a code if somethings disconnected. check for codes when the car is doing the problem.
