ok heres the story.

its an 87 with a tii swap into it. i have just got it to the poitn where i can full throtle and really get on it. i " tuned " my safc to give it the right add of fuel. and i have an lc-1 to monitor the a/f. i have a greddy profec b spec II that i just installed and that is not set up yet. with that said here is my problem. i have a 3'' intake as well as a 3'' to 2.5'' y pipe revII exhaust.

i keep hitting 15psi on a ported waist gate/turbo. if this is related, i also idle at 10 a/f though its only on 15% or less throtle. anything over 20% throtle is normal 12-14 a/f while driving with out boost.

in 2nd gear i did a pull several times, i hit 10psi and it didnt seem to creep. i let off

in 3rd gear and more it creeps and stays at 15psi. very scary. i dont feel like i am making 15psi. i feel like i am 10psi. probably cuz i am leaning out. which i know i am =X how scarry

so this is what i did

i cut out of gasket material a restriction for between the 3'' air filter adapter to afm. i brang it down to 1'' by 3'' insead of 3x3'' (wide open afm)

i was told that my boost creep is most likely from my engine breathing to much, and probably the porting isnt done well enough.

what do you guys think?

well theres 2 answers

1. JDM answer, with the stock turbo and wide open intake and exhaust, its going to run 15psi, so set it up to run 15psi. give it enough fuel etc

2. US answer, 15psi is bad, you're shooting for like 10psi, stock intake will help, maybe add a cat, ungrading to the s5 turbo helps too, the s4 is just not as good, even ported
