Hey guys.. after driving about 15-20 mi. from my house yesterday my engine light came on in my RX7 91 non turbo.. pulled over cut car off turned back on light was out but came back on after driving another 15-20 mi. i checked all my oil, coolant, trans fluid, alternator, belts, gas cap tight.. and nothing.. there are no abnormal sounds no abnormal smells coming from the engine and the car runs great even with the light on.. i have had exp with a bad rotor and a fuse in main block being bad and both time the car did not function properly that not the case here.. any clue as to what might be wrong.. is it maybe just a sensor problem ?

Check the codes like J9 said but can the car accelerate all thru out the rpm range?
