Ok, i replaced the motor mounts a few days ago. But it still seems as if i have alot of engien movement. There is a roughness when at idle at a stop and around 3000rpm there is as well.

I will be replacing the tranny mounts soon as well, hoping that may help some.

But is there anything else i can do to get it to idle smooth? What should i check?

Hi, I had the same problem with my rx7; rough idle and roughness between 2600 and 3000 rpm. I traced it down to a bad EGR valve. I took the upper part of the intake manifold off and then unbolted the EGR valve. Then I cut a piece of thick gasket paper to fit between the EGR valve and the engine just like the factory gasket but without the holes for the exhaust gas to flow through. This effectively blocks the exhaust gas. Then I reassembeled everything and plugged the vacuum hose that went to the EGR valve. Now the engine runs silky smooth! Hope this helps.

Thanks, i will try this very soon.

I assume that i can make a metal block off plate and use some sealer to make a block off plate as well.

I hope this helps
