The engine is not blown or anything. I want to open it up and port it. Are there any seals I should replace like the oil and water seals or can I reuse them?
Get a gasket set, an s4 n/a one will work fine, complimented by a s5 t2 engine to lim gasket. This one is over a hundred dollars less because it doesn't have new turbo gaskets. Then get some oil control rings. All these can be found on the forum store, or just pm phinsup.
Then your going to need to replace the corner seal rubber plugs, and you should upgrade to fd corner seal springs. And replace the side/apex seal springs. BUt you can get away with skipping this step.

It's like 3k-4k miles old. I rebuilt it last summer. I've got plenty of time before i can drive it again so I might as well open her up and port it. Are all those seals still necessary with such a low mileage?

I'm gonna have to do the FD corner seals. I don't know why I didn't do that earlier. What do people tdo to the E-shaft that helps flow more oil through it?
