wutz up everyone, well my bro. blew my enigine in my rex or something is wrong cause it runs like crap, and i did a compresion check and the rear rotor has no compresion at all, so im guessing that the engine is gone, so i need an engine asap for and 86 NA, i was thinking about buying one in a junkyard, do u think its worth it or should i rebuild mines, and if i do get in in the junkyard what should i look for before buying it? thanx

If you can, rebuild your own. Gain a lot of knowledge, and experience out of it..

junkyard motors are usually garbage, rebuild it if you have the time and money

Yah, I agree. You'll ususally end up having to rebuild them anyway. Why not just rebuild yours.

you 'll have to take it apart to see if the housings, rotor and plates are still useable too

thanx peeps, so rebuild it is, now were can i get a good rebuild kit besides racing beat i know they have good ones but r theres too much money or r they a good price. thanx

What all do you want to replace? All the seals/gaskets? You should tear apart your motor and see if there is any damage to the irons/housings..

A junkyard engine is a BIG risk, been there and done that.....I reccomend either doing the rebuild yourself or having it rebuilt......much safer, used rotaries are "no no IMO.....

/\ i finally see a Rex thats the same color as mine... cheers brother anyway i called the junkyard about a TII motor and tranny, wanted 2k for it... i think i'll find a blown engine and rebuild or something
