Engine Flooded
#1
I looked around a bit, and couldn't find the common info I needed, so I'll just ask it. I'm pretty sure I flooded my engine. It ran fine the other day, then I move it a bit (I know I shouldn't have...company was coming). Went to start it this morning, and it wouldn't start. Instead of the normal chug-chug-chug, it sounds like just one constant sound. I pulled both fuses under the hood that had EGI on them, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to pull both or just one. Am I supposed to pull both of them? Then I cranked it over for 15 seconds, then put the fuses back and tried it...still didn't work. I had to go to work, so I didn't have time to try it again, so I just took the motorcycle. (it sucked because I couldn't find my gloves...very cold)

um i like to unplug the fuel pump, its harder to get to but the plus side is you dont kill the spark like you do when you pull both fuses. what i suggest you do is pull the plugs out and crank it over with no fuses, clean the plugs off and put them back. see how that goes

yeah, you should just be able to pull one fuse, here is a writup from RP rx7.com about the unflooding ordeal. it shows how to do it simple and complex. you can always install a fuel pump kill switch so you can do this from inside your car (my mechanic did it for me, probably wasn't too hard).
