Well, last night my car cought on fire. I'm using different secondaries that had to be modified slightly to fit. One of the o-rings didn't seat properly, and after a thousand miles of driving on horribly maintained highways with really stiff suspension, the o-ring got pinched and started leaking.

I was driving down the street and heard a poof and saw a flash in my rearview. In about 10 seconds smoke started coming out from my hood. I pulled over, popped the hood, and ran in a store I stopped in front of, amd grabbed a fire extinguisher. Put that sucker out and then started swearing. I was in San Francisco, and since there's no parking allowed anywhere near where I was, I had to call a tow truck to get me home. I was about 60 miles from home, so it cost me $375 to tow the car home.

I cleaned the car off today, and pulled the manifolds and turbo off. Overall, it's not so bad. I need new primary and secondary injector plugs, new MOP lines, and new fuel, coolant, brake booster and vacuum lines. I hope my secondaries are OK, they don't look damaged. I'm gonna pull off the harness and re-wrap it, since some of the tape melted.

No need to be scare. Have a fire extinguisher in the car. I have 2.

Just pressure test everything with more pressure than need a few times. And rock everything back and forth. Then warm up the engine and check again. Let it heat soak good for a while. If doesn't leak then, is all good, nothing to worry about. When putting orings make sure they are greased up a little so the seat nicely and don't get pinched next time.

Yeah, I'll be putting a fire extinguisher in my car from now on. I'm just lucky it caught on fire where it did. If it happened on the freeway, I'd have been royally fucked.

I had one in my FC somehow the pin got pulled. You can guess what happened next. It looked like a scene from a cheach and chong movie.

You just reminded me I need to go to Home Depot and get me another $10 extinguisher.

Or maybe I'll go to the speed shop and get a $50 one. J/K
