Alright, i got spark, fuel and air, it still doesnt want to start.
i didnt replace the pleugs, they still looked brand new and have only been used since the swap. this is geting frustrating. |
I tried all the taking the plugs and fuses out and started it to get the extra fuel out. Got everything back together, and it cranked right up, but as soon as i turned the car off and tried to start it back up it wouldnt. I repeated the spark plug and fuse thing and it started again. The car is just running way too rich and is flooding it out. What could the problem be?

There are several possibilities. The first thing that comes to my mind is that the injectors may be leaking when the car is off. This would cause the car to flood while it is sitting, making it hard to start.

the guy I bought my car from had the sam problem with my car. He got a fuel pressure release valve or something and it seemed to keep it from flooding. But I am new so I dont really know.
|
a fuel pressure relief valve? do you put that inline on the fuel hose?
Also, when I leave the ignition on, after about 10 second there is a awful continual buzz that goes off. And when I hooked the battery back up the other day one headlight popped up and went back down and my horn beeped at me. with all that crap and way too much fuel into the cumbustion chamber, could it be a electrical problem? |
wire your fuel pump up to a switch.
|
fuel pump works fine, already checked that. keep giving me some ideas,
i need this car running very soon. |
Clear the fuel lines by running the car until it is warmed up then either pulling the fuel pump connector, which is located on the driver's side speaker tower. Or by pulling the fuel pump relay which is a yellow connector underneath the driver's side dash, it is a box that is about 1inch by 1inch. And let the car die. Then pull the injectors out of the holes in the manifold. Reconnect either the fuel pump connector or the relay, then have someone prime the lines by turning the ignition to the on position, don't start the car. Then look and see if there is any fuel coming out of the injectors. Make sure that they are connected to the fuel rail securely.

https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif The injectors are fine. still too much fuel, flooding out engine. What would cause my horn to beep and headlights to flash when I connected the positive cabal to my battery? and why is there a constant buzz when the ignition is on for more than ten seconds. Could it be an electrical problem that would also effect the fuel into the combustion chamber?
