emissions and air to cat
I'll be going in for emissions and this car needs to pass!Last owner had a "conditional pass" I've got the 88 with a 13b n/a runnin' pretty good right now..but i'll need to perform a couple "tricks" to get it to pass ..I need some info on how to get air to the cat..should I make a "T" at the hose that exits the air pump and run it to the steel line that goes to the cat? What about that valve on the line..is that a one way .is that for the aux ports? Can I pop it at that location and then connect the "new air line" there? WHAT IS THE "CAT-BURIED" SECRET???!!!!! haha had too!...If this car does not pass I'm left with a damn expensive lawn ornament!!..I could really use suggestions ,,I wanna motor with my rotor!THANKS IN ADVANCE GENTLEMEN!
The hose that exits the airpump should go to the cat, there should be an incoming from the airbox and an outbound to the cats.
If you've been running cats without air for a long period of time your cats are prolly crap.

cat looks new .. knowing it went twice to e-test ...once in may another in july...cat has very light surface rust ..previous owner failed and probably surpassed the $450 limit..new cat and install???? and got a conditional...he walked into a dealer and said he needed money ..the guy gave him a grand,,comes back 8 hours later and the guy say i got the money to get my car back ..the dealer told him he wasn't an effin bank and said get lost ..i walked in 3 days later ...and basically the dealer didn't want the head ache so i got for a little more than what he put out but it's transfered in my name and in my driveway..i think the hose out of the air pump goes to the acv?..hose is about 6 inches long and about cigar size..dark now ..rain today ..i'll get another good view at it and post again but in the meantime any other input is a god send..i may get ,insurance and safety inspection done at friends shop i'll hop under the car and really get a good lokk at the cat...if it's **** i'll replace and run a recipe..but i'd feel better with the air info just to be sure...rambled enough thanks guys!
