ok what good would it do to take the emissions off of my vert? like the smog pump or whatever

well how hard is it to do that? strangly i found a dual cadmiun plated alt belt pulley in the garage.

Just leave it alone, it will still be slow after, isnt your car also a automatic?

the only bad thing is it possibly hurts resale value if you remove EVERYTHING....

Yeah, removing the air pump alone won't do much, and you need it if you still have a converter. If you remove the converter then you can remove the air pump. ILUVMY88CABRIO has a FULL DUAL exhaust, which makes much more of a difference than just removing the air pump.
