Default Electric Window Wire Broke

Hello sages, I just took apart the door of my 91 'Vert to figure out what was preventing the driver side window from going up and down, turns out sometime before i bought the car the cable that brings the window up(or down) had snapped and spooled into the gear cluster of the electric window mover, jamming it up. I've removed it, and taken out the offending tangled up mess. Does anyone know if i can get more of that particular braided wire cable and also is this gonna be impossible to re-instal? tips hints anything would be really helpful!

You can usually find good working window regulator assemblies on the forums for around $50-$75 ea. The convertible ones are different than the coupes though, and are not interchangable.

I have never tried to change the wire out before, but you could always take apart the damaged one to see if its possible.
