Electric fan HELP!
Is it worth to put on an electric fan, on a 1988 stock Turbo II (except for the Racing Beat exhaust) and thus eliminate the fan clutch, in order to improve fuel efficiency and gain some horsepower?
If so, which fan would be? An universal or an used one, like a 2001 Ford Escort?

Leave it alone, the factory fan works great along with the shroud.
I went without one only for cosmetic reasons, but on a stock car I would leave it alone- no doubt about it.
Im actually still thinking of going back to it and using the corksport shroud.

I say go for it, the stock clutch fan works perfect. All you have to do is make it better. Don't just whip something up in an afternoon because there is zipties around, do it properly, shroud it and you'll be better than the thermoclutch IMO.

Why not?
I don't know if you will gain any HP, but the area looks so muche cleaner, not to mention that working around that area now becomes a breeze!
I heard that some of the Efans from OEM 6 cilinder ford cars work good. I only use black magic from flex a lite (or proform)
