I notice if I gradually ease the gas to WOT the shift up light will stay on, but if I floor it It won't come on. Does the stock ECU know the difference between the two? If so, does it give the engine more fuel or anything when you floor it?

the shift up light seems to look at load vs rpm? so the more you push the pedal the later the light comes on. the stock ecu does know the difference between the two.

It wasn't working for a long time until I reconnected that sensor on the trans. I like the shift up light, makes me think my car is working properly.

I think that stupid thing was some lame *** attempt at fuel economy, kind of like the GM 1-4 skip shift. Can you imagine how ******* slow a N/A one would be if you shifted it when they said to?

It wasn't that lame, I used to get decent economy when I payed attention. It was slow, but I drive like a grandma anyway.

I got passed by an old lady on a Rascal 2000 when I used the shift light last.
