Ok, well you guys may know about my ongoing search for an ecu for my '89 TII, well, here is the whole story!

Early September '02, i'm crusing in my TII enjoying the mods put on that day. When pop goes the 7, I drove it home getting 5mpg and backfiring like crazy, and after much thought me and some friends came to the conclusion the ecu went out.

So here started my search for a ecu! A member here at nopistons Mike from Oklahoma City aka: mikeokc2001@aol.com told me had one he would sell me for the sum of $200 so I said ok and wired him $200 plus $52 he said it would cost to overnight it. Well it was a scam! He had an ecu but it was a blown one as well!!! and he never even sent it!!! He just kept my $252 and I still call him and email him almost everyday but he won't return me my money!!! Keep in mind I sent him my money in mid september!!!

Well months and months went by and here we are at mid january and I just got my ecu. Well it didn't work! So here I am poor with a blown 7. I'm sad!

Donations of a pineapple street-port 13b can be made to me!

thanx for readin',

-Matt

is it the engine or still the ecu you think ? if you don't have the $$$ to fix it right now. park it and buy a daily beater like i did. let the FC sit in the garage until you have the time and $$$ to repair it properly

Hey lunchbox, get off my Koolaid. <---This is really Ed.

Don't worry, I'll convince him not to sell the TII...it's way too nice to sell as scrap.

i've never heard of an ecu going out, have you checked anything else out yet? Do you think an apex seal could hae gone? Do a compression test.
