Should the ECU in my 87 TII be a goldish colored box measuring about 2x6 inches?

well where did u get it from? My old 88 n/a was silver and about 6x6x2. The Ecus are found under the passenger kick panel, where your feet go.

thats probably your ABS box.

where did you find that box? the stock ecu, like revvin said is about 6x6x2" and it should say n332 or n333 on it. it lives under a plate under where the passenger puts their feet

that gold box sounds like the one I've seen under the driver side, by your left foot, next to the fuse panel
