Any one know where I can get a non under drive dual alternator pulley?

And what are the best belts money can buy.

I had my alternator belt break on me on the road and since I have no air pump it was the only belt runing the water pump and fanclucth. So it started to overheat so i pulled to the side and went to discount autoparts but the only belts the had where some dayco top cog ****. Since I had no tools with me I had to buy a small tool kit but no socket to loosen the ac blet tensioner, out came the pocket knife and with a snip of the wrist the ac belt was off LOL! ! ! put on the alt belt and went on my merry way.

The moral of the story is

I DONT WANT ANY MORE ******* BELTS BREAKING ON ME ON THE STREET ! ! ! !

I want peace of mind with the belts at least

(SORRY HAD TO VENT OUT A BIT)

that doesn't really have anything to do with what he is talking about.

When you remove the smog pump the alternator tends to squeal and snap belts. The dual pully keeps that from happening.

That is what I dont want I dont want to be stuck in traffic and see my temp going up quick and blowing my "HEADS" LOL j/k having a belt break on you is souch a pain in the ***. It is something so small but if you are caught off gaurd you are stuck.

I am still per say breaking in my engine since it came off my donor 88 SE but since I did the swap my self im still even after 500 miles of flawless operation I look at my gauges every miinute. Not to sure of my mechanic skills if you know what I mean.

At least with the dual alt pulley and a good set of goodyear gatorback belts(which I was told are the best) I will have "PEACE OF MIND"

That is what I want with my car but then again I want N2O so go figure LOL. Its the little **** that pisses me off.

I had the same problem you had buddy. I didnt want to put on a dual alternator pulley because I knew the belts would still pop. So, I took my car to a shop down here in miami and the guy told me it was the fan clutch. He said my fan clutch was indirect and I needed a fan that's clutch was direct. Now it's been a year since I put in the new fan and not once has the belt broke.
