Do it with the mounts bolted to the engine.

I removed mine with the mounts in the car, I will probably install that way too... 13Bace, whats the reason for doing it with mounts on the motor?

i like to leave the drivers side mounts loose, that way you can move 'em around until it goes in the hole

the drivers sound mount is a pain in the ass to get it. The passenger side goes in no problem.but man the drivers side is hell!

i tried several different ways, putting motor in with driver side moutn off, loose, etc. You just have to give it hell and keep at it and it'll eventually be a good motor mount and go in!! hehe

have fun lining the trans up with motor too (unless you pulled them together) that was great to!

MAZDAROTARYPOWER 11-27-2002 12:54 PM

install the engine with the mounts on and also jack the trans up a little so you can mate the with the trans easily!

BigTurbo74 11-27-2002 01:13 PM

he already connected the tranny to the engine...make a difference?

j9fd3s 11-27-2002 01:33 PM

on the 20b i left the mounts on the car, it was ok, i think i had to loosen one of them
