Dropped off my housings to have them ported and polished today. Unfortunately the junkyard housing and rotor I got are not going to work. It appears the housing was overheated and is no good. The rotor I got is also an "E" weight rotor, where as the stock one was a "C" weight. Dave weighed them there and said the difference was too much (like almost an ounce I believe, but I can't remember exactly). I think I will just buy a housing from them, and then trade my rotor in for another and get my cash back on the overheated housing. I would like to thank Dave at Atkins rotary for taking the time to look and show me what was wrong with my parts.

I don't think Covey's will give you a refund. I bought an alternator from them, but ended up not needing it. I took it back the next day and they finally took it back, minus a restocking fee.

Well that would suck if they don't, but it would be less than 75 bucks and both the housing and the rotor are super clean. The guy that helped me said if anything didn't match up, to keep the receipt and bring it back in for an exchange, but he didn't say anything about a refund. Oh well, guess I will find out :yinyang:
