Well that's just what I did. I pushed it out, slapped it in 1st, and started it up. It creeped a tad, then stopped. I could go through all the gears with the clutch pedal depressed, and ride forward in 1st just fine. I didn't actually drive it around yet, but it seems fine.
For the cost of a gallon of tranny fluid, and some hard labor, I now have a functional tranny. It pays to have a parts car! |
