Hi

I've been looking for info on driveshaft to connect T2 JSPEC tranny with US NA rear diff. I've looked in here: https://www.nopistons.com/forums/index.php?...opic=12418&st=0 and some other topics.

So please don't advise me to search

Does anyone know exact dimensions and stuff?

I've found somewhere that I can use front part of AUTO driveshaft and rest of NA manual shaft.

It's for S5 Jspec TII engine w/ 5 speed tranny and 88' NA Convertible rear end (5 lug if that matters).

I have to have the swap done in two weeks.

I'm learning about rotarys, it's my first one. Engine and tranny on the way already.

P.S. I know about mazdatrix.com driveshaft.

ok well the auto driveline has the t2 front spline and NA rear diff bolt pattern, BUTTT it is to short!!! if you can get one and have a shop extend it a little over an inch and balance it properly it would work ok

What's FSM the part of driveshaft that goes into tranny where the oil seal is?

So will this "... you can get one and have a shop extend it a little over an inch and balance it properly it would work ok ..." work or not?

FSM is the factory service manual, he was just quoting his source. The auto driveshaft is 54mm shorter than the manual, so if you were to do that, you'd need to splice in a tad over 2 inches according to these numbers
