Mmkay. My outer handle on the driver's side doesn't work. At the site-that-will-not-be-named, someone said it was the rod clip, which is common to snap. Took apart my door and pulled the handle out. I was having a lot of trouble getting the handle off, so I bent down and looked up. My rod clip is fine! Confused, I shimmied the handle out of the door and pulled up on the handle to see why it wasn't pushing the clip down. Well, I figured it out alright. The arm that pushes the clip down, when you pull the handle, has snapped in half. Yes...snapped...in half...

I need a new door handle, damn it.

If an S5 door handle will fit, I have one in decent shape. It is blue however.

And the site you are speaking of, you have to weed out the idiots. Luckily with this site, we don't have alot of them. Except for when you post in general discussion.

I am not sure if it will fit. I thought I heard something about there being a difference between the Series 4 and Series 5 door handles. Can someone verify this? Blue, I don't mind. It's the price that's killing me!

That is also a common brake. I have both driver and passenger white S4 handles if you need em.

I am sure he has a tig, it is the metal is a very pore fairest and is hard or imposible to weld. The little piece will get hot quickly and start to melt on you befor you can get the rest of the handle hot enough to arc as the heat disipates through the handle.
