Haven't been on here in a very long time.

I was wondering if Mazda USA sells rebuilt transmissions. Specifically a S5 Turbo II trans. I know they sell rebuilt alternators and rebuild rear calipers. Maybe they sell rebuilt trans?

Thanks,

jason

mazda only sells reman, motors, and auto trans. they do not sell reman manual trans. but if you can find a part number for a spacific trans you may be able to call that in on a dealer locator or a warehouse locator and find a new oem unit. i know there is 3 1993 fd manual transmisions sitting down in the la warehouse.

Thanks for the offer, but I was opening for brand new 100% trouble free tranny. There is a local JDM importer in Toronto who sells S5 JDM trannies for 200 CDN each. But I was hoping for a US spec with the taller 5th gear, and not having to chance that the tranny is mint or ****. My has worn syncros.

syncros are cheep from the dealer man. and the t2 trannies are very simple to rebuild. as far as the gear ratio i thought the usdm and the jdm had the same ratios in them, i run the jdm trans and didnt knowtice a rpm change vers mph from the usdm tranny. anyways for 200 i would say that is a good buy and normaly thoughs trannies are good. i have had 10 out of 10 come threw my shop with no failure.

have it rebuilt locally, you should get a 2 year warranty with it and the pleasure of not having to deal with the dealer.

I thought $462 was too good to be true.
