What about if you upgrade to the 929 master cylinder?

Okay, so when do you actually NEED 6 piston calipers?

ok, its like this. If you have an S4 you'll need an S5 booster to go to a 929 MC. If you have an S5 you can go directly to a 929 MC. The piston in the stock S4 master cylinder is 7/8", S5 and Fd are 15/16", 929 is 1" which is pretty decent even in terms of an aftermarket unit.
I've done a kit with the same calipers on a different car with a 12.6" rotor and it fit under 17s, this time its a 2 piece rotor so i'm going to 13" its only a 1/5th of an inch difference in wheel clearance so it should fit for most people. My kit will be front only to start but i will also offer a carrier to relocate the rear caliper further out on a slightly larger than stock 2pc rotor as well. I have a wilwood proportioning valve on my setup and i suggest it for any big brake kit also. |
6 pistion kind of seem like overkill to me.. will Fd calipers and rotors fit an FCS5?
|
easy answer is no, difficult answer is yes but not any easier than going to anything else.

Here's a news flash...the FC already has amazing brakes.
|
personally i think my four piston calipers with a rebuild, hawk HP pads, and cross drilled and slotted rotors has plenty "knock ur fillings out of your teeth" stopping power, and its def less than a big brake kit

FD rotors and Skyline Type M calipers will suposedly bolt right up to the FC, but good luck finding the Typm M calipers.
Now does anyone make a 13" brake kit for the FD that doesn't cost over 2k... |
