Now, not that I have the $$$$ to dump into a big brake kit, especially 'cause I just dumped $$$$ into a streetported motor, but I'm curious: Is there any company that makes a big brake kit for the FC?

djgiantrobot 09-30-2003 10:42 PM

yes, re amemiya does one based on the brembo monoblocks and k2rd has a wilwood setup. I am working on a custom on right now actually if you are interested, the pricing should be more than competitive with any other kit out there.

I am very interested. Give me some info and keep me updated. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

I have an Hyper-Rev mag right now, and I see -RE has two kits, a brembo and a SS kit, Endless has one, and so does Feed. I don't know Japanese so don't ask what it says for price and whatnot. I found this in vol 54 #3 on page 132.

I'm also interested in your kit, robot...

Corksport.com sells big brake kits too. They are spendy though.

I'll let you guys know, i have just sent my CAD drawings from the carriers over to my machinist so we should see some stuff on the car in about a month or so. Its got 13" rotors in the front so i hope you have at least 17s. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

phinsup 10-01-2003 12:12 AM

We have one available from K2RD, it's not listed in the store yet, but 13 inch is $1649.00 and the 12.19 inch is $1524.99 Both with 6 pistons calipers.

ZenRXSeven 10-01-2003 12:23 PM

Lol, will 13" rotors even fit with 17's? Also:

phinsup: The K2RD kit is just front brakes, right?

djgiantrobot: Is your kit front and rear, or just front?

Keep up the good work. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

the problem with the big brakes is that you run out of master cylinder, the pedal gets really soft and mushy, we're working on a bigger one. we have the 12.5 6 piston kit fits under a 16" wheel, but i'm not sure if a stock 16" will fit

What about if you upgrade to the 929 master cylinder?
