Does anyone make a horizontal mount intercooler kit for s4&s5 Turbo II's? I think that's the way I want to go as opposed to the FMIC.

Oh yeah i did a search on this forum and no related topics came up. So if there's a thread already out for this I apologize.

its not really a big thing to do for FCs....

V mount and horizontal mount work on FDs really well because of the way the airflow is directed, that is why the radiator is setup the way it is on an angle, and its just more efficient for a v mount in an fd

just to a fmic

Rotary Extreme ,I believe, was working on a kit for the FC, I know they have a kit for the FD out now. From what I've seen, most people who do V-mount custom fab it. It shouldn't be that hard you have to cut the front bumper support out I believe, and get custom IC piping done, but brackets shouldn't be too hard to make. Hope that helps if you were planning on doing this.

I was planning on making one for myself. Shouldn't be too hard. I just need the money to do it. If I can just keep my engine fires to a minimum.

hey mike, who's core are going to go with?

I'll go in on that with you. I was thinking you could turn a starion sized one on it's side but that's way too small. Heh.

Oh yeah you can borrow some hose from my kit if you still need it.

I was looking at using a NPR small or medium IC, I forget which one. I though about the Starion because they're cheap, but I keep hearing bad things about them. For a little more money, you can get a Spearco core. And then have the endtanks welded on. I think HKS makes endtanks that'll work well(depending on the core size).

I'm still not sure which radiator to go with. I haven't measured anything yet to see how much room I have to play with. Then you have to make all the ducting. And a vented hood would also be a good idea.

Blue TII on the other forum has a good writeup on his setup. I'll probably just end up copying his design.
