well im bored, and im tired of reading about broken FC's why dont we post some cheap/free diy type reliability mods so we can attempt to AVOID breaking fc's. what do you got? i know a cheap mod would be to ditch the factory fan in favor of a taurus beastly E-fan, re-wiring the fuel pump to assure proper voltage so you dont lean out, whats some other stuff we can do? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

I read more about e-fan problems than clutch fan problems. I'll stick with my stock fan.



inspect/replace pulsation damper, vacuum hoses, and fuel hoses.

yeah theres always the clutch fan/e-fan debate lol i prefer a high flowing e-fan i can run all the time to hel rid the bay of a little more heat even at idle or when im letting her cool down. another thing along the hoses thing, if you have silicon hoses make sure tocheck them regularly because they can become brittle and crack esp around high heat areas IE the passenger side of the car like under the UIM. the PD is another great one you can replace with a banjo bolt and save your self from blowing up.

When was the last time the trans and diff fluid was changed? Thats something I keep forgetting to do when I do my other maintenance.



I usually do oil, filters, and spark plugs all at the same time. Maybe a bit overkill, but it can't hurt.

Check and replace cats with expensive aftermarket ones!!! :P

O2 Sensor

TID- check for cracks (turbo models only)

To many to list, cause they are gonna break anyways.

haha well im talking about stuff that might help maintain our cars, alot of the reason theyre sent to the crusher is because they break and people let them sit for years... keep them running

well i had no trouble with mine (except the cpu), and i know of another t2 with 210k on the original engine, its tired, but it ran 210k without more than a clutch, injectors and an acv, seriously



just make sure it doesnt overheat and has oil in it, and they do just fine
