Differences in S4 NA Dash Harnesses?
#1
I was looking in the factory parts guide, and I see that there are different dash harnesses for the coupe and convertible. My S4 Vert has the radio plugs cut off, so I wanted to replace the dash harness.
Does anyone know what the difference is, if any?
Also, is it possible to just replace the radio wiring? Is it a separate harness?
Thanks
Karl

its prolly better to look in the wiring diagrams, its prolly 1-2 wires for the top or something. i know the turbo and na are different, but only by like the 1 wire for the pressure sensor, i'd expect the same with the vert. plan b would be to pull the radio wires out of the good harness and fix the coupe one

Yea, turbo and NA are different ..also the '86 to '88 cars are different from the '89 to '91 cars.
You really don't want to replace the entire dash harness, trust me..you really don't, lol..
Best thing would be to find the missing radio connections and solder them back together. As it is, I might just have an extra s4 NA dash harness. I told my dad to throw it out as it has been sitting in the garage for a few years now..but I don't know if he has yet. If he hasn't I can cut the radio harness part off of it as far back as I can ...that might help.

I think I figured this one out. The Vert has headrest speakers, so it has a different harness.
