Can someone please tell me the differences between the 88 and previous N/A 2nd gens and the 89 and later N/A 2nd gens.

I KNOW THERE WERE BODY DIFERENCES, WHY did the hp go up is the motor different?

can i make a earlier 2nd gen up to spec with an 89-91

If so how?

Compression went up in the s5 motors (FYI both NA and turbo motors). Probably also better manifolds, Im not a NA guy so I havent looked into it.

The rotors weigh less in the s5 engine (9.5 lbs as to 10bs). There are slight differences with the intake manifold and stuff in that area (like no rod from OMP, different TPS, etc.) but I don't think it gives you any more perormance. I think compression and rotor weight are the only changes that would effect performance.
