sry this is so long but i am stumped. i just purchased my 87 t2 about 4 weeks ago and i love the damn car to death but it has created so many problems. i already knew it needed to secondary injectors when i bought it so this wasnt a surprise but i have had so many other little problems with it which is fine. but my current dilema is startin to scare me tho. i was drivin yesterday and i looked at my boost gauge and it was barely gettin over 0. it used to go more than half way up before it even hit 3500 rpm and now its not goin anywhere. i am pretty sure its still pullin like it used to but its hard to tell cause my car needs the secondary injectors. and last night i was drivin and got it over 3500 rpm to about 5500 and it made this really loud "windy" noise that sounded like it was comin from low in the firewall. and now it doesnt do it any more but it was doin last night. what the hell is goin on with my car?

I'd be careful boosting with bad injectors, you're going to fuel starve that engine and here a POP, then a windy noise (may have to open window if going slow).

i usually dont go over 3500 cause the injectors, which i am gettin replaced very soon, but i still have absolutly no clue why the boost dropped all of a sudden. could it just be a faulty gauge or somethin? i cant really tell if it pulls as hard as it used to either.

could easily be a faulty gauge, especially if you are noticing no drivability issues.

Check the turbo inlet duct for cracks at the bottom where it meet the compressor. Usually it would idle sorta of ok but will not boost with a crack that opens with large sucking from the turbo.

Lack of working secondaries will also kill boost as the engine can't make a good load for the turbine to spin.

Get some injectos boy before it pops

Sounds like you might have a vacuum issue somewhere. How does it idle and at what RPM?

the idle isnt bad at all, i mean it fluctuates between 1000 and 1100 rpms when its warms but it doesnt run roughly.

That's a bit high for my liking. odds are it's going to "idle" fine even with a vaccuum leak at that RPM, I like min to be in the 750 to 900 range. I'd check for a vaccuum leak while yer in there.
