what does everyone think about custom decals on there 7's?

I have a friend that has a huge "M" on his hood that looks like the mach 5 from speed racer and its a metallic red and looks pretty cool! He has mach 7 on his plates.... I was thinking about ordering the same decal from fast and furious on the rx7 b/c its pretty cool. You can get all of them from www.awesomedecals.com. What does everybody think? ???

If thats what you want to do to YOUR car, then go do it. And remember, the yellow ones make your car faster! I felt kind of ricey putting 2 x 10 racing beat sticker on my car.

Hate decals personally, I purposely removed all the emblems from my trunk, and the decal from the front bumper of my car. Clean will never go out of style. If you do order such a large decal, make sure you have someone who knows what they are doing install it for you. I know it may sound easy, but take it from someone who installs vinyl and also paints decals/stripes/graphics, it isnt always as easy as you would think ( making sure its going to go on straight, no bubbles, creases ). A good thing to use is room temperature water with just a touch of Johnsons Baby Shampoo in a spray bottle, and hopefully the company you buy it from supplies you with a good spreader/applicator, otherwise buy one from a local sign shop.

I personally don't like decals. The only one I have on my rex is my F.O.P. family badge. That seems to work well with the police. Besides that I don't want any stickers on my windows or outside my car. But it is your car and if you like it then I say go for it..

I forgot, I do have about a 6in x1in FC3S.org sticker on the back of my hatch glass, at the top middle. It is white lettering against my black tint and black car, so I think it's pretty tasteful. I'd probably put a nopistons.com one on too...if we ever got'em hint...hint...but that's all.

< I used that Night Shades spray, but use it from behind, take the lens out and lay it flat so the paint goes in evenly and doesnt run down. Sometimes in my pics the flash jumps off the lenses and you cant tell they are shaded. You can do the same for all your other lenses as well. I have seen people use it on the outside, but it looks like ****. Besides, if you use just the right amount, it looks stock, and the cops dont bother you one bit. You can polish the outside of the lenses themselves, I also painted my lens surrounds, which were crackly looking from being a few years old. Use a plastic polish for the actuall lens, or a polishing glaze from 3M like Finesse III or pretty much any of thier polishing glazes. Same can be done for the flash to pass lenses if they arent too road rashed. Send me your lenses, Ill paint them. I did mine 2 years ago, no peeling or chipping to this day!
