All it does is dampen the throttle blades when you let off the gas in a hurry. Drive the car without it and drive it with it. Whatever you like better go that route. Simple as that It won't hurt anything if you leave it out, well except repu's feelings

We were all shooting flames down that highway (15 or so RX-7's)



I bet the drivers of the cars behind our pack eyes were burning from all the rotary fumage
