if you saw j9fd3s's soldering iron, youd unstanding that he needs more than just flux.

if your remelting the solder you might as well change out all teh components. when i opened my clock/idiot light i noticed that a row of resistors was toast. I took a ohmeter and checked it and got infinite resistance.



I just took my clock/idiot module to an electronics shop and asked for 1 of every single component on the thing... came out to under 15 bucks cdn for me ... and i spent 1 day swaping old electronic cripsy components for new ones.



btw remove the flux after soldering... spray the board with contact cleaner... flux is corrosive

yeah and spray it with some electronic clear too if you want that way corrosion will definately not be present..

HAHA mine goes on and off when I hit bumps. If it bang the dash with my fist it will go on. Doesn't seam to keep track of time properly either.

its an easy 15 minute fix, just remelt the solder
