Wink

Every time I drive the car now I can see oil leaking on between the front of the exhaust man and the left side of the oil metering pump (looking from front of car). I can't tell if its my OMP but its definitely coming from above the pan. What else could it be if not the OMP? I'm sorry I don't have a way to take a pic and post it. It's not a constant leak but more after a hard run at higher rpm.

Damn! I was worried about that.... how hard is it to replace? Do I need to replace it even though the leak is not bad enough to where I notice no change in the oil level? Each week there is a few drops under the car.

I wonder if this is a warranty thing.... I still have 2 years left on this full drivetrain warranty from CARS warranty company from when I bought the car.

look at your warranty. you need to see if it covers seals and gaskets, and oil leaks a nd stuff. it can be done in the car, on and fc its prolly about 6-8 hours by book time

ok the warranty says: "Engine-all internally lubricated parts; seals and gaskets only if being used for repair of internal parts" so I guess that means I'm going to have to do this one.

ehh, just blow an apex seal and have them rebuild the engine, and replace that seal while they are at it

I know, I'm surprised they even offered the warranty for up to 4 years yet. I did the same thing when I bought my 86 a few years ago... paid $300 for the extended 3 year warranty and immediately got a $1K+ trans rebuild. Not sure how they make money on it but I'll take full advantage, **** em.
