I finally got my new rear diff. mount on. So I drive my car to the mall and I'm on my way home. After I pick up some food on the way home I'm pulling away from a light and WHAAAMMMM!!!!, car stops, loud grinding noise in tranny and rear, and I'm pissed. So I pull it in an alley and there she sits. Till tomarrow morning. Now I have to decide what I wanna do get a rebuilt TII trany or just a used NA. God i'm pissed. I knew it was gonna go soon to, just didn't know when. ....always something....

I'm almost sure it blew because when I eased it in gear it sounded like something broke like a gear then started grinding. That lead to me trying to pull it out of first cause the whole car like jolted to a stop, i finally got it out of gear and pushed it. Before this about every gear was grinding when I shift (hard to get in gear) $120 sounds good to me!! I live kinda near sun's auto in PA, he should have what i'm looking for but not that cheap. I figured if I get a TII trany i'll have to get an engine to!!

I got a shitty tranny too. It's gone out on me twice, and it's on its way out again. You can put a TII tranny on a NA engine, but you need a TII flywheel, starter, clutch, tranny (of course), driveline, and rear end.

if all the gears were grinding, cant it be something else. I mean if you can save ur tranny its even better.

Warning on the T2 tranny idea...lol. If you do the tranny, your in for more work then you'll expect. Like they said, you'll need the clutch, flywheel, starter, driveshaft, rear end, halfshafts, etc...

...I live about 3 hours or so from Lancaster..I've still got my old '88 SE 5spd tranny...works fine if your interested maybe we could meet in the middle somewhere, lol...besides I wanted to go check out KD Rotary....

Well I live in Denver Pa, and I'm 71.65 miles from KD (so says mapquest). Also I ran Culpeper to KD and it's 273.16 miles, than I ran a road trip and it's 277.51, that's stopping by my town, but going a diffrent way than straight to KD. Click for route here Map for road trip Oh and how many miles is on that tranny??
