So I've installed a CS collected header to a RB pre-silencer (2.5in) to a CS catback(80mm), but it is much too loud. So, I'm going to replace the CS muffler with something a bit more substantial and wanted to see if anyone has a similar setup or could comment on mufflers that would bring the noise level down to bit louder than with just a CS catback at cruise and light throttle.

Current contenders are:

Large Magnaflow straight-through

Magnaflow Turbo XL

Moroso Spiral Flow

With a 80mm pipe on a NA I figure I could get away with the Turbo XL and not kill perf, but have read about them splitting or not sounding great.

A large Madnaflow straight-through would be good for Perf. and likely sound good under accel. but something large enough to bring down the volume would likely be heavy and potentially obnoxious under daily driving conditions.

The Moroso Spiral flow would be a "semi-baffled" muffler which seems like a sweet spot but I have read reviews that their durability isn't up to snuff with NA rotary heat.

I've also considered DNA & Aeroturbine mufflers but they seem a bit gimmicky for the $$. I know Borla is nice, but for less price a Magnaflow has essentially the same design and similar construction.

Comments? Sound clips?

I had a Magnaflow straight through, 2.5" in/out, 7" can. It was not very quiet, but it did sound nice.

that catback is the loudest thing ever.... i bet just a piece of pipe would be quieter.

absolutely do not use a Morose spiral flow.... been there done that yes they are cheap but it will rattle till you beat the **** out of it with a hammer....

I use two Mac Flow Paths at the back with some nice magnaflow tips, I have just a short bullet muffler up ahead of them with an aero turbine up under the middle.

You're going to want to use 3 mufflers with a n/a using a header.
