Ok ABS is out, brakes bled everything works fine, yippie.

So time to hit on another problem.

Cruise control doesnt work, unless im braindead and can't use it. I press main, the "main" lights up, i let off gas and press "set". nothing happens. So first question is, am i doing that correct?

2nd, if i am doing it correct then it's not working. What would a common problem with the cruise control be so i can focus my search for the problem.

3rd, should i just remove it or is it necessary for some reason?

thank ya,

kevin.

I do the same with my cruise, but if it isn't working, and you dont use it, chuck it. The only thing its necessary for is driving long ways and falling asleep...

hmm considering chucking it then, but cruise control is such a nice luxury, especially if i drive to rotary revolution or something.

I took it out on my T2. I never use it, it didn't work, and it justs wastes space.

You have to hold it for a few seconds till ithe cruise light turns on. Did you remove the cruise throttle cable?

I wonder if the cruise control is hooked up to the abs? The cruise control does turn off when the brake pedal is depress? Maybe you have to jump a cable. Check the wiring diagram and if is connected to the system. I don't have an abs car so i'm not sure.

it didnt worki when i had abs installed.

cruise control on most cars is turned off by the brake pedal switch mounted near the top of the brake pedal itself, its what turns on the brake lights in the rear.
