After taking the stock top mount intercooler off, I noticed a nipple near the top back part of the throttle body elbow. I it had no vac line coming from it or going anywhere. I also checked down and around it to see if a line was dangling, but no luck. Is this suppose to be left like this? My car idles very rough and surges about 300 rpm. It also runs rich as hell so i dunno whats going on. Ive checked the intake pipe completly and have tightened it down properly. Any advice?

Does the rip go thru?? Try spraying some choke cleaner carefully when the car is on to see if inhales some. IF the car start to act normal again or accelerates more, there is your problem.

Mazdaspeed7 DING DING DING DING

Like he said that "nipple" is the bleed valve for you clutch. When bleeding air out of the clutch system you open/close to valve to remove fluid/air.
