https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/unsure.png [FONT=Arial][SIZE=7][COLOR=blue] i've encounter a problem. when i went to put the engine in, i passed the new engine harness through the fire wall to connect it to the ecu and the plugs are different. now i have a N370 ecu which those plugs dont work. and i have a N326 ECU, and those plugs dont work >:/ .. thats got me in high thought. also, there is two that connect from the engine harness to the ecu, and theres one that is suppose to connect from the driver side harness to the ecu. the one from the driver side connects perfectly but the ones from the jspec engine dont.

if u have a suggestions or a solution please contact me.

Is it a S5 T2 ECU you have.I know my S4 T2 ECU is N332

j9fd3s 03-02-2003 12:19 AM

what year car and engine do you have?

the 87 ts ecu is n332, 88 is n333, jdm is n319, 89 t2 is n370, and jdm 89 is n374

i dont know what the difference between n332 and n333 is, the n333 is supposed to idle better but they are interchangeable

As long as it works. The guy I got the stuff from said it was the ECU he got it with.papers say 88 on the engine and tranny tho.I wonder if the car was hit too hard that the N333 ECU got toasted or if the first owner of it just couldn't find the ECU for it.......Makes me think twice about the engine.IF it wasn't for the papers. How can you tell if its the low impedance T2 Engine?

j9fd3s 03-02-2003 12:49 AM

the wiring harness will have a resistor pack, its got a big 5 pin round connector, and its 2x2x4 silver box

It wouldn't be the one that mounts by the leading coil on the T2 would it?I have a resistor pack like that.Big silver and has white around the lower part of it.

j9fd3s:IS that the one your talking about?I think it might be the early 87 model if that resistor is for it then.Does that resistor only go on the early 87 low impedance T2's?

Thanks

Luis
