Ok, first check this out:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=1873287699

I keep seeing LSD's like this on Ebay but the whole swap option thing confuses me. I am one of the lucky ones to have one of the only FC's with NO limited slip diff and I really could use one for racing. I checked out Mazdatrix which tells me any 84-91 13B NA 3rd member assemblies can be swapped in or out (including diff), the TII assembly can be swapped in with pinion and driveshaft modification.

I'd like to know if any of the GXL, GTU, TII, or even a JDM helical LSD can be swapped into an S4 NA base.... I mean just the LSD. Do I need the whole assembly? Do the axles, hubs, driveshaft matter?

Thanks!

chris

This weekend I just bought an LSD from a guy I know...it's just the lsd, he tells me that everything will fit to it. But it doesn't look anything like the pics on the ebay item. If anybody else reads this, how do I know for sure that what I got is an LSD? There's nothing attached to it yet, so I can't turn the wheels and all that. And I can't find anything on the assembly itself that says "LSD fluid only."

Mike, anybody, do you know if any GXL or GTU 3rd member assembly will bolt right into an S4 base model with no modification??

Thanks, chris
