OK,

I recently purchased an 1987 RX7 and don't know where to find a paint code?? I've looked on the fire wall, on the hood, in the doors. Am I missing something? Or does someone know this code from experience?

The colour is a lighter silver with a blueish hue.

Any help would be great!

usually its on the passengers side of the firwall above the subzero tank....



i believe its J5 (Artic Silver) like mine

 

Well, that's the kicker!

The plate on the passanger firewall is no longer there!

The only 2 colours I can see that look close are Arctic Silver or sunbeam silver but having no point of reference for both makes it hard to tell.

I think it's arctic silver to!

sunbeam silver, is an 81-85 color.

if you called the dealer and gave them the vin they can tell you the color code
