i have an 87 T2 that is charcoal grey, from the factory. This is the car Nick was talkin about.

The charcoal grey is actually called Gun Metal, at least that is what Mazda Japan calls it. The reason you see more red cars are because red is the number one color on the US market. Red and blue being the most common US colors. In Japan the most popular were the Gun Metal and blue. You don't see a lot of red cars here for some reason.
