I think I might replace my clutch while the engine is out. I was looking at a Centerforce for like 240, but I am not all that knowledgable about aftermarket clutches. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks. This would be for streat/strip use.

I'm using a centerforce stage II DF clutch on my SE-X, and my buddy is using it on his '94 cobra mustang...so far neither of us have had a problem, but a lot of other people don't like centerforce, dunno why. ACT clutches are good, but I never liked the way they felt. You should go w/ either the centerforce, ACT, or clutchmasters(which I'll probably go w/ next)...for a street/strip setup...look at getting a dual friction clutch.

I believe the centerforce dual friction to be the best as well. I run one in my '01 S-10, and thats what will go in the 89. I dunno the web for centerfore but you can get a little info @ www.designenergy.com, click clutch icon for prices and what not.

All puck clutches are cool, lol...if your willing to daily drive one..I'll probably have to go w/ one after I get the new block, not sure if the centerforce DF is gonna hold up...

Yea, I'm probably going w/ an 11lbs or 12lbs flywheel and the centerforce DF for now, the DF is rated for up 500HP, but I've heard that most of the time it won't hold much past 400...so we'll see
