Clutch Replaced, Having Problems
#1
Just got done changing my clutch. BigTurbo74 and 1Revvin7 Helped me a shitload, thanks a ton guys, but I am having a couple problems. Now that everything is back together I took her out for a spin, the clutch works fine, but I am not getting full boost anymore, and I can hear oil boiling in the motor when i shut the car off. I couldn't actually hear it boiling before. The boost feels just like a vaccume leak, but we made sure everything was tightened up and it still lags out, so I have no idea what it is. I just started it to pull it in the garage and it also Idled really rough for a couple secs and almost killed, but picked back up and idled fine. I think I still have a very very very small exhaust leak, its a **** hair louder than before. Basically I need to know:
1) why I am not getting full boost
2) why can I hear oil boiling so loud now when i turn off the car?
Help would be great

boiling oil? Are you sure your not just hearing coolant moving around in the system? It makes that bubbling sound when its hot/expanding.
Power loss: If you think you have an exhaust leak or hose off somewhere grab a spray bottle of water, and spray it around the area of the leak'g...Sometimes the idle will change water is sucked into the vacuum system...
.... Let me know
Did you drop the tranny or move the motor when you did the clutch? just trying to what might have been missed

I blew my oil injector vaccum hose while driving. It did kinda the same thing your car is doing, so I would assume that it would be a vaccum leak somewhere. Thank god i'm running premix.
Do you have the twin scroll system? If so, my car did something really wierd when I put my boost controller on it. It would turn the twin scroll off when driving so I would only boost 6 or so. Then at idle, it would try to die, then pop back up and sound a little louder. Probally has nothing to do with your car though.

Ok went over everything, heres what I found: There was two bolts on top of the bell housing that were just threaded in, but never tightened, one of which had the ground for something, maybe the starter? Anyways I tightened those up, I also found a two bolt flange on the exhaust that only had one boly put in, and it wasnt tightened, went to the hardware store and picked up a bolt, nut, and lock washer for the other side, bolted that up tight. Went over all the hoses and found one small hose from the IN pipe that was loose, so I replaced the hose and tightened that up, couldnt find any other leaks anywhere. Drove it and I STILL can't hit full boost, the car feels like it has half the power it used to. I honestly think a v6 mustang could kick my *** the way its running, thats how slow it is. Oh and whiplash we dropped the tranny when we did it. I dont know what else to do.

I think thats gotta be it. I hear bubbling when i shut the car off, and so I wouldnt be surprised if that was the change. I never used to be ablt to hear my coolant like that. What did you do to get the air out?
