Clutch Hydralics Are Shot
my master cylinder is leaking so i was looking at mazdatrix and i saw a rebuild package for the master and slave,,,, should i quit being a cheap *** and get all new? or would replacing internal parts fix my problem...?
If you rebuild the cylinders you need to inspect them. Because of water, rust and sediment in the systems you have to inspect the bore of the cylinders real well. if there are minor imperfections such as minor pitting or light scratches you can hone out the bore with a set of honing stones (usually available at most parts stores for about $15.) and remove all the minor imperfections, for deep scratches or grooves or really bad corrosion and pitting your best bet is to go with a remanufactuered or new unit. Look for something with a lifetime warranty.
